My favorite growing up was Concentrate from Kelloggs I think they should make it again it would probably do better now with everyone watching what they eat.

The kid cereal I liked most was Freakies I think it was because you got one of the little plastic monsters inside but I ate it all the time.

I've always been fond of Trix. Thank goodness they still make it. I also liked Sugar Pops.

My kids love Cheerios, I couldn't stand 'em as a kid. But I didn't eat much cereal, we only bought what my Dad ate every once in a while which was Frosted Flakes (now I can't stand that - way too sugary). My mom fixed us scrambled eggs and bacon every morning, she was the best!

I didn't like cereal much as a kid, and still dont. The exception was full size Shredded Wheats buttered and covered with warm milk and sugar. Yum,

I have never heard of butter on shredded wheat we did warm and cold milk.

I have put butter on oatmeal might have to try it on shredded wheat I still eat that every now and again.

I am from a family of 8 and I really didn't get to eat cereal from a box very often until kids started leaving home. There is a benefit to being the youngest when there is not a lot of money.

I tease my older sister (17 years difference) that in this day and age she could be my Mom. tongue:

By the way SC you were spoiled if you got bacon and eggs.

My Uncle was a wheat and pig farmer and my Mom made a hot wheat cereal if you can call it that (we had our own wheat grinder). We called in wall paper paste but that was what was available. By the way at that time they had told my Dad he was diabetic so we got to have saccharine yummy NOT.

Have you ever had Kool-aid with saccharine it is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
