It is with much sadness that I find out that an old friend has left us.

James Mavity, known to many as shoeshineboy to many of us old timers to PC and 285bound, passed away on August 10, 2012

Out thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Semper Fi Jim. Guard heaven well.

My condolences to his family.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

Shoe was a great guy. Long and deep roots here in this community.
There aren't words to express how much he will be missed.

I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but what sweet and beautiful eyes he had. It seems like his heart was just as gentle and amazing as well. From everything I have read it seems like he touched so many lives and he will be greatly missed. Perhaps another time and place we will meet. RIP James and thank you for being you. Prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
