You have my prayers and best wishes Mtn Gramma. I hope that they are not needed; take good care of you are yours if the worst of this storm bears its brunt upon you and your clan.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

We should be fine. The kids are teens and pretty self-sufficient. They're looking forward to the storm as an adventure after seeing that Boston is somewhat on the fringes of the storm path (at this point). My schedule is flexible, so the only difficulty at this point is whether or not their folks can make it back on schedule Monday midnight.

Showed this to the 15 yr-old grand and as he was putting on his jacket he asked "tequila or beer?" Teens are such smart mouths! lol

Well it was breezy + all day (didn't rise to "windy") and around 10 we started getting mist in waves, which continued most of the day. We haven't had true rain yet. The kids' folks' United flight to arrive here at midnight thirty Monday has been cancelled. They're going to try for Southwest but that's a crap shoot at this point. They're more worried about us running out of food than they are about getting rescheduled. lol I'm not going to do anything about my ticket until they're in the air on the way here.

Pancakes for breakfast if we have power, cereal if we don't.

I saw some photos of empty grocery shelves. Amazing. My niece in Brooklynn stocked up with Chunky Monkey Nutella and Red Baron pizza. Methinks she isn't taking this seriously. CRISIS Situation: Starbucks in NYC will be closed tomorrow!

Same here archer. Lots of family in harms way. Checked them all out on a map and most of them are surrounded or near water. So far I have heard from all of them and a few have left and others have supplies and battened down the hatches.

INSANE wind today, rain is still mostly mist. My son called a friend of his to come over to check on us and he brought us some bottled water "in case" when he came. So far we have power so the kids are charging everything. They're seeing it as quite the adventure. The parents were able to get a flight out of SF for Thursday late, getting in here on Friday morning. I'll get my flight rebooked once I'm sure they're in the air.

Hubby's flight to Boston got cancelled yesterday, was rescheduled for an hour after he was supposed to come home Wednesday. lol Darn the bad luck, he actually gets to be home for a few days in October now! :woo hoo: Another of my friends was supposed to come home yesterday from Boston, was told her flight was canceled and she wouldn't be going anywhere for a while (they ran out of planes to get people on out-bound flights since none were coming in), but they did manage to get her on stand-by on another airline and she got back last night. This is going to back airlines up something fierce with as many as they've canceled.

Stay safe and dry Mtn Gramma, and archer I hope the same for your family.
