If the subways get flooded, transit in lower Manhattan could be out for weeks.

Just heard from two of our family members one in upstate NY she said steady rain and about 60 mile an hour winds so far the power is holding.

My brother who is just outside of Pittsburgh said they are at least getting a inch an hour maybe more with very high winds. Power is bouncing on and off but have not lost it for more than 10 minutes.

They have friends close by with a generator should they need to go there but will wait until the morning to do anything.

Hope everyone stays safe know that we are thinking of all in the path of this storm.

NBC NY reporting that water is on runways at JFK and LGA.

Hearing reports flooding on NYSE. The trading floor is flooded under more than 3 feet of water. not sure of this.

Buildings collapsing. Cars floating down the avenues. People getting seasick in the high rises because the buildings are being buffeted by winds.
