Please warn your teenagers

Last night was one of those horrible evenings when you wish you didn't have a scanner.
Two teens were badly injured in a rollover here in Bailey.
Please warn your teenagers of the dangers of driving in the mountains on dirt roads.
My heart is broken for the families involved. Prayers are heading up.
Bad things happen in a flash. The consequences of which we can never undo.
My grandson has just acquired his learning permit. Please keep him in your prayers.

Please stress the need for seatbelts at all times.

You gotta wear seatbelts kids...BTW- Republicans fought the seat belt requirment regulation tooth and nail, after all they didn't want the poor auto makers to have to spend any money on saftey for people...Just like the "regulation" (oh the horror!) to require seat belts on school buses- That vote went right straight down party lines..Republicans against, democrats for

This was my worst nightmare when my kids were in their teens. I regret making that post so soon after the accident

At some point in time we have to let young people learn lessons the hard way, that never makes the results less tragic or traumatic for their friends and families. I often wonder if my constant safety speeches to my nieces and nephews have the wrong effect and make them want to do what I warned them not to do even more. It won't stop me from warning them and events like this one will be prominent examples but once upon a time I was inflicted with "stupid young man's disease" and I understand the "that only happens to other people" mentality. Lessons learned the hard way usually only need to be learned once.

ZING! You need a reality check and if you're honest you'll admit you are wrong. Kids come to Aunts and Uncles with issues they don't want to talk to their parents about. In the meanwhile VL has been laying on the troll thicker than lately; VL go back to 285bound you and your kind can appreciate each other. If you have the courage we could always meet in person but you've never accepted that offer before.
