No????? Just dogs that are left outside to bark all night
Jeeeez- You put words in my mouth, then argue against them? and
Why do you Right Wingers carry everything to the absurd extreme?
Like If I think Mcdonalds workers should get a few more bucks it means I'm a full blown Marxist that thinks doctors lawyers and CEO's should all be paid the same as service industry people?

But let me entertain this absurd argument you created for yourself...If I tried to shoot people who didn't expect it, they wouldn't be shooting back? So how would I not like the results? This isn't the old west, and I don't care how "fast a draw" you think you are, if I got "the drop" on you, you'd be dead Cowboy..
So what the hell are you even talkin about Deltaray?
Sheriff Wegener needs to resign as well. He continues to promote Gore, Hancock, Muldoon who have done a very lousy job of training their staff. Wegener is just as responsible. If the top brass would stop bullying their employees, because it is the military style, and teach them some communication skills instead of bullying the public like so many of the deputies unnecessarily do, it would be a step in the right direction.
As discussed above based on a quarter century of military service both enlisted and as a commissiones officer, the young Deputy made a big mistake......but we gave him a badge and a gun but HIS CULTURE PLAYED A PART IN HIS MISTAKE.......recall the "keg party" raid last year where teens were endangered by deputies because of marginal behaviour......leaders and the evolved couture lead to these incidents.......look there.
First of all, I live in Jefferson county, not Park, so I don't have any hidden axe to grind. Second, last year I trained with Undersheriff Gore for 3 days at a John Farnum course in Fairplay and found him to be a decent person and met Sheriff Wegner as well, and came away with the same feeling. I know one of the deputies that was suspended in the beer keg incident and it was a poor decision on their parts to shoot a chain as bolt cutters are the right answer. They paid their price for the poor decision. The current deputy deserves a fair investigation and may have made a poor decision as well. Let things play out and see where it leads.

Gore and Wegener can be 'decent persons' as persons. It is in their role as Sheriff and UnderSheriff where they lack the skills needed and is evident by all the wrongdoing that continues to go on w/i their department. From another thread their department continues to be in the news.

Their personnel are improperly trained. They are abused by their own upper brass and then expect them to be civil to those they encounter. Teach all of their personnel how to communicate and work with the public. Jeffco Officers do a much better job. Being abusive when it is hardly necessary to show who is the boss is asinine.
Officer Jackmond at one time was a good officer. But he learned from his immediate superiors, the portly, slow (aka lazy) Officer Sears included that he could and should be disagreeable (he learned from them) and they would look the other way. None of them have been made accountable for their behavior. Much of it unwarranted for the circumstances. I am glad Jackmond is gone because he became just like the rest of them, pitiful.
Term limits apply in Jeffco, but I don't believe Park County has the same. If they are so disliked, get a good candidate to run against them in the next election.
Why is it that you very rarely if ever hear about the kind of crap that's allowed to go on in Park County Sheriffs Dept. going on in Chaffee County or Routt County or Douglas County or El Paso County? Is it because it isn't allowed to go on? is it because it's covered up better?
