Better training. Parkco hired some idiots who are former Denver Police to help with training. I don't think it was one of their brightest moves but then it proves how bright they aren't.

You'll have to be a bit more specific Mama, because I don't know what "kind of cr_p that's allowed to go on" you are referring to. I don't think anyone has allowed the deputy to kill the neighbor's dog with impunity, there is both an internal investigation and an external criminal one which has been properly given to an outside agency to handle to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest. I seem to recall that there were also investigations into the incident regarding the beer keg, both internal and external with the criminal investigation again properly referred to an outside agency to avoid even the appearance of conflict of interest.

Now, admittedly, my contact with the Sheriff's Department in Park County has been very limited, being as I am a model citizen and a benefit to any community I live in an all, but I am hard pressed to think of anything that falls under "cr_p that's allowed to go on in Park County" that you might be referring to.

Hey model citizen I am sure we could arrange to have the Parkco's finest pay you a visit and you could see first hand how civilly you are treated. There are poachers with guns and knives in your neck of the woods and who knows you just might be one of them sneaking out at night. You have been seen walking from your garage/studio to your home frequently. Is that an illegal marijuana grow? OK, just kidding.

But it is circumstances like this w/o substantial evidence that could have Parkco's finest snooping around your home like former Officer Hardey and others used to and still do. Did you know that they have also used this tactic when someone has had a controlled burn, whether called in or not? Their excuse for firefighters with deputies to walk around private property supposedly looking for smoke/embers when they are really looking for something more sinister and usually don't find, but use it as an excuse anyway.

Seriously, you don't want to have them come to yours or your neighbor's home. I don't live full time in this county because crap like this has been going on for decades and we got out. Unfortunately family still live here and their unedited videos have amazing stories to tell about PCs finest.

I don't know if its right to fire a cop for killing an animal when me and my boys ate about 200 buffalo wings this weekend, which cost 100 chickens thier lives..Animals are animals.
