Forged by fire: Kristen Moeller at TEDxJacksonHole

She knocks it out of the park, yet again. I don't know how she does it, but her writing touches me emotionally every time; she has a gift for connecting. And she can do it verbally as well. Well done Kristen!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

A great message.

Not meant to be harsh, as I know her, I wonder about people's continued replacements for addictions when the addictions will stop.

Could you explain that comment? She has admitted addictions.

Yes Kristen in all her writings has been very open about addictions. And I admire it.

But there comes a time when it appears one addiction is replaced by another and yet another. That is when I wonder when it will really stop.

Thx for that SC.

Sometimes....there is no replacement.....it is just one day, one hour, one minute at a time.

Says a lot about someone who would draw from this speech a point of weakness in what is clearly a strong and amazing woman.

Thanks frogger, I would expect nothing less from you. I gives an opinion you disagree with and you have to jump in and try to cause trouble. You don't know me yet you continue to harass.

Now back to the Ted Talk given by Kristen. This isn't necessarily specific to Kristen, is that clear frogger?

There are people who have addictions who continue to have addictions and some of it is enabled by others so they continue down that path and it takes much longer to heal. Sometimes it means to continue to be introspective or seek therapy or go back to AA tenets, principles or whatever they are called or whatever works and recognize the repeated pattern.

Everyone heals in their own way and I hear Kristen's message loud and clear. Some just have to keep repeating the pattern though until they see the pattern and want to do something about it.

Perhaps frogger you would like to look at your repeated pattern of hate you continue to espouse when you decide to target me or others. Please get some help.

So.....disagreeing with you and adding my opinion is hate?

I just felt there was so much more there to discuss rather than latching on to one sentence.....but that is just me.

No it is your continued personal attacks that are being challenged.

Now please discuss the issues and stop the attacks.

I like most Ted Talks as they are inspirational. And as Kristen is in this one.

Now at the risk of offending frogger, there is more to healing when it comes to addictions(s). Rather than repeat again here is my previous quote.

Is this not worthy of discussion?
