An afternoon hike up Meridian Trail was just the thing I needed today! I made it to Arapaho Natl Forest boundary in Mt. Evans Wilderness. I can tell it has been a few days since the last human visit. Having not encountered any other hikers, I had the trail all to myself. Ahhh....yesss! Snowfall would have been the only thing that made my afternoon cooler. :crossed:
Awesome photo!
But i thought those trails were closed while they do some logging or something? We have been trekking elsewhere because of it. If that isn't the case, time for a trek. Thanks!

My first summer walk tonight. It was wonderful. Talked to a couple old neighbors I have not seen in a while. And it it was breezy and beautiful. I took this at the end as it was getting dark. My cell phone does not do it justice.
This is our view. I took this on Monday. Get ready for a surprise from us next week sometime.
Two mountain lions in one day! Not the same ones. Visiting my mom in upper Burland and saw a big lion. On my way home to mid Burland (mid bird section), coming in the gate another one. The not so cool part is that some kiddies live a short distance away and were out playing and their dogs didn't even bark. :VeryScared:
