Per CDOT, Wild fire in the area has hwy 50 closed west of Cotopaxi due to poor visibility.

I've been watching the fire grow from my daughter's house out by the reservoir in Pueblo West..... An awful lot of smoke from very dry timber and grasses. This area has gotten very little rain recently. For those who might be confused, it's Canon City not Canyon.
