The traffic has started already...

They might as well stop and get an ice cream at Liks.

Have a safe and happy 4th!

After ALL these years, I STILL can not fathom this "following the lemmings" mentality....either schedule
vac BEFORE or AFTER a major holiday or leave VERY early and come home early....miles and miles of traffic
just seems obscene and so Unnecessary :flag: . JMO

Well Homeagain, unfortunately many people have jobs and do not have such luxuries as leaving early. I hope all the campers get to their destinations safely and the weather is pleasant. It may be the only vacation they get for the year. Welcome to our world, we will try to stay out of your way!

It is backed up thru Pine Junction and beyond. Check out the IMHS and Neptune/Crossroads cam.

I should have grabbed the snapshot at Richmond Hill. There was a motorcycle parked up in the firehouse lot, just watching the traffic.

Ah yes, the annual ritual of the unwashed masses from the flatlands rushing up to the mountains on the holiday weekends! Weekend Warriors on the loose!

Avaunt, you cullions! You blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things! Thou lumps of foul deformity!

Away you moldy rogues, Away!
Out of my sight! thou dost infect my eyes.

Haha :rofllol

IMHS:

Barb Klein posted on our Facebook page that it's crawling before King Soopers even.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

For Blondie......here's an alternative thought....why not leave Thurs AFTER 8 or so (still light out) OR
better yet, LEAVE VERY EARLY FRI MORN,when the dawn is breaking and the roads are WIDE OPEN and trip is RELAXING and reflective....I would elect to ENJOY the ride, rather than "beat the next camper up
the hill".....of course THAT is JMO......
