Just FYI, the lookout in Dinosaur National Park - at Zenobia Peak ( www.firelookout.org/cohost-co/zenobia.html ) has been recalled to active duty from scheduled time off due to multiple fires in the area.

Telephone intercept extract from the squirrels monitoring my phone line (think of it as a counter-counter intelligence operation): "Yes, can I speak to Mother Nature? Ok, I'll hold... Mother Nature? Hey, it's me Otis. Any chance we could get some more rain please? If it's not too much trouble could you hold the lightning and hail? Thanks in advance! If you can deliver in the next couple of days I promise to wash my woof, cars, truck, and leave windows and sun roofs open while it's raining..."

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Thanks for the info jf1. I have been working with some others checking roofs of homes and surroundings for smoke/fire which might not show until later.

Otis, yes please, rain w/o lightning/thunder. Cover your eyes for all those who are not ready for this, please send snow!

I always think of Oregon and Washington as always wet so surprised to see so many wildfires in their areas. On the other hand it does spur a lot of plant/tree growth. So do we really want more rain?
