The take off makes sense to me but I would like to see this aircraft make a night landing in heavy weather. I'm not a technophobe but I somehow trust a human who has been trained in flying an aircraft more than I would a man on deck with a fancy remote control. Then again have a look at the Air Force's Predator program, they have an established record of remotely operating UCAVs.

Otis, I spent some time ~30 years ago imitating the electronic signature of a CVN. If memory serves we had the sig of an automated landing system for our jets. Of course just because it existed does not mean the pilots ever used it.
