For those of you that may have missed the final flight at Meyers Ranch last month.....He is an additional treat for you.
Please take a moment to enjoy this video of an interview done with Norm Meyer Sr. that morning before the final flight.
What an incredible man Mr. Meyer is. ENJOY.
Norm Meyer has done a lot for the Conifer community.
He has provided hundreds of acres for Open Space so that the beautiful scenery in Conifer can be preserved.
He is a huge donor to charities such as the Mountain Peace Shelter as well as other important charities in the mountain area.
He has been a part of mountain history for many years and is an interesting and colorful gentleman.
If you, as a Park County resident are not interested, then move on but please be respectful of the Jefferson County members here who are interested in the heritage of their community.
I personally loved watching the video. He is such an interesting funny guy.
Seriously, Mr. Meyer's contributions to Conifer and its history are significant. Well said, Becky. (And I still find myself glancing at the hangar every day driving by, always a little surprised that it's empty.)

I hadn't realized how much of a habit it was to check the plane until it was gone.

Yup, sad it's gone, flew so many x's with Norm it seems like an empty spot.
Get a call at 6:00 am and hear "wanna go flying?"
went to MT, all over CO and even learned to fly take off, and er, but, not land. Tail draggers are a little tricky and Norm would remind you every time.
Funny to see people in their cars DUCK as you took off.
Some real funny stories I got from him but are a little too long too relate here.
And then our funnies are also long but he still lives the adventure life.
