We do not generally hear on the scanner whether or not a citation was issued.

On a personal level, I hope that one was, particularly in the case of repeat violations.

Chatted with some walkers on our road this morning about it. They live on Bluebird, said that it was started by some people's grandchildren playing with matches. The Fire Dept. had a "Come to Jesus" chat with the kids.

What is SHAME is the PARENTS were'nt charged with anything and THEY DIDN'T EVEN GET A CITATION/FINE. One more SLAP on the wrist!! People need to WAKE UP and if it takes HITTING them in the WALLET to wake them up then I'm all for it!! Why were the KIDS allowed the matches in the FIRST PLACE. Someone wasn't paying attention............

How do you know the Grandparents (property owners) weren't cited?

And do YOU know that they did get cited?? read what you wrote..

i doubt they were cited. they never cite. even when they caught two teens who deliberately and intentionally created a fire, one of them the son/stepson of the local firefighters, they let them go. this is awhile ago.

one neighbor said he was wasting his time when he calls dispatch for a out of control campfire that a neighbor across the hill does pretty regularly. the man has never been cited.

You can't watch kids every single second. And if you could, why would you?

Now, if this had occurred with the same kids once before, then book 'em, Dano.

Don't know where the attitude came from . . .

I wrote that it was grandchildren playing with matches that started the fire and, not knowing one way or the other, asked how you knew that they weren't cited. The parents wouldn't have been, as they are not the property owners.
