Sounds like a personal problem! rofllol

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Must agreed, nothing like stompping on brakes, at Kipling (on-ramp), at 4:00 in the morning, because some dimrod, doesn't know how to merge.

Another Colorado born person here...

I use lanes until the lane runs out, then I merge. I expect people to zipper at the merge point. You want to merge early? Fine, waste the lane and cause additional backups. I won't be part of it. At the merge point, I'll let one car in from the other lane, and then I'm moving forward. I don't care how much someone hugs the bumper ahead of them in some righteous indignation fantasy of having the right of way, there's room for me. I've shown many road hogs the error of their ways at merge points, not because I'm being aggressive, but because I wait for my turn, and I take it - I match speeds, and I merge.

So, what happens when the jerk at the front won't let the other car merge up there? Big fight.

I'm a proponent of the zipper and we've had so many topics on this subject. Those who zipper see its benefits. Those who don't think they are high and mighty and are taking the high road. Of course, their illogic is amazing.

If it's my turn to merge, I don't care if I'm in a smart car and I'm up against a dump truck - I'm coming in.

People know when they're being a**holes and they back off. They honk, they gesture, but they back off.

Of course there's exceptions, but for the most part it works fine.
