Despite a series of serious challenges over the last year, Park County's 911 Communication Center was named the Communications Center of the Year for the State of Colorado. The honor was awarded by the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials and the National Emergency Number Association on Thursday at the annual Colorado APCO/NENA Conference in Longmont.
must be kidding. i guess when you call about smoke/fire and give the detail that could actually help with location they don't care, just pass it on to the fire dept and let them figure it out. guess that is what makes them so good.

well thats good jf. but we have called in quite a few, sometimes with longitude and latitude and other very good definitive detail and it is glossed over by dispatch. like i said that must be what makes them so good.

If Lat and Long isn't their normal method of communication, I can certainly understand them not including it.
