Has there been any investigation regarding cell phone use during the accidents?

thanks for the link pacamom

not that cell phones were involved in any of the accidents, i do hope that people will put away the cell phones and give their attention to the road. the life they save may be there own and someone elses.

Some studies have found the laws against texting and driving INCREASE the number of accidents, as people who used to hold their cell phones up where they could see the road, now hold them below the dash so they can't be seen -- thus taking their eyes off the road as they look down.

But alcohol is the #1 problem.

It's not the laws causing the accidents. It's the freakin idiots trying to ignore the laws.

I gotta agree with both posts. I can see that happening a lot more. I see many drivers with their eyes down to their lap while driving now instead of holding it up by the steering wheel or windshield where at least they had perpheral vision and could atleast see the road wasn't curving in front of them. Unfortunately people are extremely addicted to their cell phones and texting so a law isn't going to stop them, only make them try and hide it more by texting in their lap with their eyes not even close to the windsheild and what is in front of them.

But I agree people need to stop texting and driving.

But most of these accident up here lately have been daytime or morning accidents which doesn't make me think it is alcohol. I know one of there was posible medication involved from a doctor, and the person probably should not have been driving but the other 3 or 4 I have no idea the reasoning why so many are happening all within a few days.

Soon there will be treatment centers for cell phones addicts. Why? Because treatment will be court ordered as part of the plea bargain not to go to jail for causing an accident.
