09 Nov 2010 18:51 - 11 Nov 2010 16:32 #1 by CC
This is a list of those people who have lost their life on Hwy 285. I will add to this list as more information becomes available.
My prayers for the families and friends of all who are not with us anymore.
May their loved ones find peace and understanding.

I'm sorry, I don't know his full name, but it is on the marker at Windy Point.

Becky, I would appreciate it if you would please add Ed Adams - he lived in Lakewood and was killed in a head on crash with an 18 wheeler while out on a day trip with a bunch of friends of his riding his Harley. There is a cross at mm225 heading toward Buena Vista. He was a very close and dear friend of our family and he will always be remembered and never forgotten. There is also a cross at that location as well as an "In Memorium" sign at MM225. Thanks!

The road was first named Colorado State Highway 8 in the 1920s, and became US Highway 285 in 1936.

Wow so very sad.

Please be careful everyone we do not want to add to this list.

Be safe and God Bless those that are in a better place.
