JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- The widow of a former Navy Seal who was hit and killed by a 98-year-old woman is speaking out about her husband's death and her concerns with the investigation.

It's hard for Katy Bixler to imagine life without her husband, but the reality is slowly starting to sink in says Katy, "Imagining my life without Joe has been very hard for me, and raising two children without him has been hard too. They just adored their father."

Joe Bixler was a former Navy Seal, who, at the time of the accident, had been working for Blackwater, providing security to U.S. Diplomats overseas. He had just returned home from Afghanistan and Iraq when he was killed. Bixler was also a father of two children, ages 10 and 12. He died on August 30 while riding his motorcycle on Highway 285 near Goddard Ranch Road. He was 36 years old. "It just seems so senseless," says Katy.
