What is the coldest day you remember? I remember moving to Craig int he 70's and it was somewhere around -35? That was in Colorado. It feels alot colder when I was in Minnesota. I had a friend that lived in Alaska and he said it was -55 there.
Nothing spectacular, but we had many -20+°F days growing up in upstate New York. That along with much more snow. This year my brother said it was like the good old days, endless cold and lots of snow.
-50°F, actual temperature, Bettles, Alaska.
I was taking pictures of the Northern Lights around 1:00 in the morning. I was wearing really heavy gloves at the time which made my hands warm and kind of damp. I made the mistake of removing one of them to turn off the camera, grab my gear, and go back inside. My sweaty hand froze to the aluminum tripod and it took a few minutes before I could let go.
snowman:: :coldwind: The Auroras were brighter than me that morning.
