Grady wins - he pm'd me the correct answer and also why it couldn't actually be correct as originally written. (I pointed out I was still drinking quite heavily 25 years ago when I last played this so never caught it. :frienddrink: ) So, it'll be a lot easier now, but let me re-word the original scenario:

A man is hanging dead in a locked room. The room is completely empty except for a puddle of water. How did he die?


Good thing I don't remember any more of these, isn't it!

A scuba diver is 1,000 feet below the surface when the oxygen in her tank runs out. The diver doesn't make it to the surface for nearly four hours, but she doesn't die when her oxygen runs out. Why didn't the diver die when her oxygen ran out and how did she reach the surface?
