I had given up on reading for several years because I could not read the size of print in most books and the books with large print were hard to find. With the Kindle I can pick the print size that works for me and read any book I want. I love being able to enjoy books again and thanks to this type of book I can.

me too, I love being able to adjust the print size, I could not read paperbacks, I love kindle for that alone.
As a software developer I read many programming texts and many of my books are 500 to 1000+ pages in length. The Kindle makes hauling all those books around easy, without it I would need a llama to haul them all. Plus I can read them on my pc or android phone when I don't have my Kindle handy. Paper books are so old school. I have the 3g version and find it useful for sampling books as well. You can usually sample a chapter or two for free.

I will have to check that out. For those who do not know, you can convert e-book to Kindle, going the other way from Kindle to e-book does not always work.
To find converters, just do a google search for "ebook to kindle converter"
Something the Dog Said wrote: Interesting article on converting an e-book reader into a tablet device for under $200. Does not work with a Kindle only the Nook Color.
The Nook is built on Android to begin with which sits on top of a linux kernel. The Kindle is also built upon the linux kernel and can be hacked as well to do other things. What the article fails to mention is that the higher priced Android tablets generally have much faster processors. Wait until April if you want a really decent Android tablet. Check out this out:

I really prefer the e-ink of the Kindle vs. the lcd on the Nook Color, it is much easier on the eyes.
