Save the Date - Silent Auction 10/22/11

Save the date! The best event in town is coming on October 22. Be at the Angry Llama from 12 - 2 for the annual IMHS Silent Auction. First item sold at the Buy It Now price was that pig.

I'm pretty sure the raspberry rhubarb pie was the first item to be purchased (through the "buy it now" option) which was before the auciton officially started. The peach pie was next to go, and THEN the flying pig.

However, I will share that there was more than one bidder that was rather saddened that they (we) didn't even have a chance to do the "bid" dance on the flying pig. I was pleasantly surprised at how many items were immediately sold through the "buy it now" option, and others that received bids that exceeded the fair value amount.

What a fun day! The animals are the biggest winners. Thanks to our community for such a success (the donors, bidders, and volunteers)...our site's very own science chic was much appreciated for her continued support of the shelter, and her hard work at today's event. Did you end up going home with that special pie basket?
