I just thought of something else I wanted to say: kudos to the folks at IMHS for all their hard work organizing this event. There was sooo much effort involved in collecting items, cataloging them, printing up bidding sheets, setting up tables, keeping track of raffle ticket sales, etc. We got everyone checked out in about 30 minutes, it was amazing! Everything went smoothly, all the items were well-labeled, there were no problems and almost all of the items were sold. Great job you guys - you've demonstrated through your actions today that you've got your stuff together and I'm certain that the shelter, and the community it serves, will be the greatest beneficiaries of your dedication! :woo hoo: :woo hoo: :woo hoo:
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
I'm glad you both got what you wanted the most out of that auction item. Next, I expect you'll start baking your own pies so that basket will get some good use!
Jayne's rain drop therapy massage is amazing. A massage is great but when she combines that with the various essential oils, it becomes such a relaxing experience. I think this sounds like a perfect birthday present!
So whoever got the massage should give it to me for my birthday. That sounds like a perfect plan.
But the best winners of all the bidding are the animals at the shelter! Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. All in all, an absolutely fabulous weekend!
