Turns out the billboard companies don't want to piss off the Broncos and will not accept the guy's checks.
Personally I think the Broncos should tell the media companies to go forward, bring publicity to the team and might sell a few tickets.
Remember when the radio guy was up on the billboard until the Broncos won?
I find the fact that the billboard company owners are willing to stand behind the Broncos, no matter who the QB is, admirable. Given the current state of the economy I expected that many advertising companies would jump at the chance to make some money and put their principals aisde.
The current Broncos injury report and the surprise win the Bungles had last Sunday may make tomorrow's game a repeat of Monday nights trouncing. It would be a very brave broadcaster who took on the challenge of living on a billboard until this season's Broncos get a win.
Who knows, maybe I'm completely wrong and I'll have to come back to this forum tomorrow night and eat crow (it wouldn't hurt my feelings if the Broncos play well and win).
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
