Jets/Broncos 17 November 2011

The Broncos will be hosting the Jersey Jets at home on Thursday night. The Jets are 5 and 3, they play the Patriots today and it looks like it will be an entertaining contest.

With a compressed week and the game on Thursday night which team will be more distracted? Will home field be a significant advantage? Can the Broncos continue to rush for the majority of the game and put more points on the board than the Jets?

Two games in the same week five days apart has to have some effect on any NFL team, if the Jets loose today they may be off their game on Thursday night.

The Broncos are pretty banged up, McGahee and Moreno both injured in today's game at KC, if they are going to continue to run the ball 23 and 27 need to be healthy and on the field making plays.

I didn't think the Broncos would beat KC and I don't think they will beat the Jets, in either case I'll gladly accept being completely wrong!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I would like to predict a passing game by the Broncos. They know that the Jets are studying and practicing for a running game. The worst thing that can happen to a team is to become predictable in their offensive game.

Jets aren't looking so good right now and they have a short week too.

The Borncos are no NE. I do believe their (jet) defense will be very disruptive. I also believe that the jet lag will play a minor part in this, but not nearly as much as it would if we were the ones traveling to the east coast. Time will need to connect on many more passes for us to have a shot in this game. Too bad we get the better teams at home. It would be nice to see a win at home, would it not? Perhaps he can step up and be clutch.

I would like to see them adapt as well as they can to whatever occurs.

However it works out, I hope it is as enjoyable to watch as the last few games have been.

It's nice to have that sense of a win feel-good feeling return. It's nice to cling to hope again, something lost over the past years since Shanny's departure.

Winning brings confidence.... I don't think the last couple of wins have been pretty.....but the ability to take a rather ragtag group of football players, with an unconventional quarterback, and a new coach and system...and convince them that they can win, anywhere, against any team.....that is priceless. Tebow has helped give them that confidence, and it is fun to watch them run with it.

Even Elway had a hard time winning in Kansas City, maybe Tebow doesn't understand he is supposed to be losing these games.

Just finished reading this in the Post.
Flashback: Tim Tebow-style win the result of John Elway's NFL debut

The young NFL quarterback operating under a white-hot media spotlight went 1-for-8 passing, for 14 yards. His team won, and he was moved to say after the game: "Based on statistics, I was terrible. But based on the decisions I made, I was pleased with my performance."

LOL Sound familiar today? There is more similarity there than critiques want to acknowledge. How quickly we forget, even John himself. I sure had no clue that was the case. I'd love to have that come up with those self anointed experts.

I can't help it but I do have this feeling that Tebow will do well again and if the receivers only hold onto the balls they dropped at KC, those stats will more accurately reflect his skills, instead of the failures of his receivers. It is one thing to have a pass defended, another to have a pass simply dropped when it hit your hands.
