Something new to do with your bananas that are too ripe to eat - Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees

Cream together 2/3 c butter flavored Crisco and 1 c sugar (I have substituted 1/3 c crisco with 1/3 c applesauce)
Add 1 c mashed ripe bananas and 2 eggs

Sift together 2 1/4 c flour, 2/3 t salt, 2 t baking powder and 1 t baking soda. Add this in small amounts to the above mixture.

Add 1 t vanilla.

Add as many chocolate chips as you want (recipe calls for 6 oz bag)

Drop on greased baking sheet.

Mix 1 T sugar and 1/4 t cinnamon. Sprinkle on cookies before baking.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

Makes about 3 dozen.

P. S. I've also left out the Crisco altogether. They were a little dry after a few days.

They are awesome. By the way - they are a cake like cookie (soft). I should be baking another batch today - I don't want to waste those soft bananas!
