On behalf of Conifer, Bailey, Evergreen and the US 285 Highway Corridor, we recognize Heather Aberg and and Heather Kassman of Resilience1220 for their continuing leadership of one of our special local mountain community nonprofits. Resilience1220 provides free counseling services to youth ages 12-20 in the mountain communities west of Denver. Through counseling, support groups and community outreach, we work to raise awareness of the social, emotional, and mental-health issues young adults face, and to provide the necessary life skills to create wellness and resiliency in their lives. Conifer Podcast continues this Wednesday, March 17 at 5 pm. On behalf of Conifer, Bailey, Evergreen and the US 285 Highway Corridor, we recognize Howard Paul, Public Information Officer and Preventive Search and Rescue Coordinator of Alpine Rescue Team for their continuing service to our mountain community. Alpine Rescue Team is a mountain search and rescue unit dedicated to saving lives through search, rescue, and mountain safety education. The Team is composed totally of volunteers and is available upon request to help in mountain search and rescue problems anywhere, under the authority of local jurisdiction agencies. The Team is also available to provide information and lectures on mountain safety to interested individuals and groups. Please join us this coming Wednesday at 5 pm to hear their remarkable story.

On behalf of Conifer, Bailey, Evergreen and the US 285 Highway Corridor, we recognize Ms. Kathi McCarty of the Meth Toxins Awareness Alliance for her continuing service to our mountain community. The Meth Toxins Awareness Alliance (or MTAA) is a prevention platform, where Kathi turned her personal challenge into a message to assist our mountain communities to navigate property insurance protocols, meth toxins testing, remediation research, the county condemning processes, state health department regulations, parallel criminal and civil litigation cases.

PCACC as it is often referred to, is one of our special mountain area nonprofit organizations and serves the communities of Bailey, Pine Junction, Shawnee and Grant, Colorado. The PCACC’s Mission is to encourage business growth and a strong community by providing information and advocacy for members. Our Vision is to support the future growth of a thriving community with energetic leadership, enhanced local participation and an enriched business climate.
