Conifer Radio - Your Highway 285 Corridor Streaming Internet Radio Voice!

Conifer Radio is the new streaming internet radio voice for the Conifer Colorado and US Highway 285 Corridor! Tune in at www.coniferradio.com/

Conifer Radio broadcasts advertising-free via internet “live-streaming” technology. For its first inaugural year of operations, both streaming alternative rock and folk rock music plus community information is produced for the Conifer and Highway 285 Corridor Community. Over the next months ahead, Conifer Radio will discover and develop what the Community expects from its first community-based radio station.

With the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) moratorium on the release of any further AM or FM (over the airwaves) radio station licenses, we have alternatively developed this internet live-streaming radio platform where in the future, several genres of music and programming streams will be planned. A listener will simply select the genre she/he prefers, and will hear and receive the same hourly underwriting promotions of the Station's supporters. Conifer Radio utilizes a very similar approach to that of National Public Radio (NPR) and operates without the nuisance of commercial advertising. Financial support comes from the Community and is utilized to underwrite station operational costs to a financial "break-even" status.

Conifer Radio has been developed and is managed by Hudson Ross Associates, a management consulting firm locally based on Conifer’s DoubleHeader Mountain in Morrison, Colorado.

Conifer Radio serves the communities of Conifer, Aspen Park, Pine and our other surrounding communities extending along and branching from the US 285 corridors from Morrison through Bailey, Colorado.

Support Community Live-stream Radio...

Conifer Radio, as a community radio station, relies on the support of businesses and organizations who believe in the value of a voice for the Conifer and Highway 285 corridor. In return for Underwriting support, your organization will receive regular mentions or 'recognitions' during the broadcast week. Our introductory year provides twice the number of Underwriting Supporter recognitions to each organization.

If you don't have any plans tonight at 5pm, I'd be honored if you'd tune in to hear my Conifer Podcast interview by Conifer Radio! You can stream it at player.live365.com/a29790 from your computer or mobile device.

I normally cringe being on the other side of the "camera" but Mark made the interview fun and easy. You'll get to learn more about me, My Mountain Town, and what I envision for the future of our mountain communities. We tried to keep it lighthearted, fun, and positive while still discussing the issues this business and our community faces.

There was one question that Mark initially asked me that was modified so it went a slightly different tangent during the interview, and I'd like to share that question and answer I had because I think it's important for empowering everyone to help protect that which we hold most dear.

3. You’ve talked about ______ being important to your mission/vision/service. Tell us more about what this means and why it’s important to our mountain communities.
Involvement. A community is a community because of the people in it. If you aren’t involved and getting to know people and how things get done in an unincorporated area, then you’re missing out on so much camaraderie and understanding of how to keep it preserved yet growing in a way that is acceptable to us all. Growth is inevitable and we have to be aware and participate in the process so it’s guided by the expert knowledge that those living here have.

(Another fun question to end the interview):
8. As we close our discussion today, what encouragement do you have for our Community for the future of Conifer and the Highway 285 Corridor?

Mark has done an amazing job of building Conifer Radio in the midst of this year. I highly encourage businesses and nonprofits to invest in, and help further support, Conifer Radio by becoming Founding Supporters. He truly cares about helping those in our community, providing important information you'll need, and good old fashioned entertaining music! He's had a passion for radio since his youth and this business is a dream come true for him, let's help keep it going so we continue to have a radio station that covers our Foothills!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Thank you for the fun conversation Ms. Trilk!

We're back after a break from Conifer Podcasts during the holidays and invite you to join us this Wednesday to learn more about Mr. Bill Aubin and his business, Optive Commercial Capital. He's been an incredible help to our local, small businesses who are navigating funding and COVID-19 support during this past year, and we are excited to find out more about him and why he does what he does.
