If you don't have any plans tonight at 5pm, I'd be honored if you'd tune in to hear my Conifer Podcast interview by Conifer Radio! You can stream it at

from your computer or mobile device.
I normally cringe being on the other side of the "camera" but Mark made the interview fun and easy. You'll get to learn more about me, My Mountain Town, and what I envision for the future of our mountain communities. We tried to keep it lighthearted, fun, and positive while still discussing the issues this business and our community faces.
There was one question that Mark initially asked me that was modified so it went a slightly different tangent during the interview, and I'd like to share that question and answer I had because I think it's important for empowering everyone to help protect that which we hold most dear.
3. You’ve talked about ______ being important to your mission/vision/service. Tell us more about what this means and why it’s important to our mountain communities.
Involvement. A community is a community because of the people in it. If you aren’t involved and getting to know people and how things get done in an unincorporated area, then you’re missing out on so much camaraderie and understanding of how to keep it preserved yet growing in a way that is acceptable to us all. Growth is inevitable and we have to be aware and participate in the process so it’s guided by the expert knowledge that those living here have.
(Another fun question to end the interview):
8. As we close our discussion today, what encouragement do you have for our Community for the future of Conifer and the Highway 285 Corridor?
Mark has done an amazing job of building Conifer Radio in the midst of this year. I highly encourage businesses and nonprofits to invest in, and help further support, Conifer Radio by becoming Founding Supporters. He truly cares about helping those in our community, providing important information you'll need, and good old fashioned entertaining music! He's had a passion for radio since his youth and this business is a dream come true for him, let's help keep it going so we continue to have a radio station that covers our Foothills!
