Wildflowers of the 285 area

Wildflowers of the 285 area was created by pacamom
These are all growing around the house. Most are on a south facing slope. The first is actually a bush growing in the rocks, and the second one is on a north facing slope. I hope you enjoy.

How beautiful! I only have some of the yellow daisy like ones in bloom. I guess the others are late to bloom around me. Thanks for sharing.

Great pix!

My mother really loved wildflowers, and knew both common and Latin names for nearly everything under the sun, it seemed to me.

Unfortunately, I learned to love to see them, but not to know either the common or Latin name for them.

To me, they are mostly beautiful 'flaars'.

How beautiful - thanks for sharing. My blue flax just started flowering and I sowed lots of wildflowers this spring, my zucchini had a huge beautiful flower yesterday. I'll share pictures later.

I love columbines in the wild. They do not grow where I live. One very wet year, they were growing along the road, but not since then.
