THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM MST
FRIDAY.

* TIMING...STRONG WESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE BY LATER THIS
EVENING AND CONTINUE THROUGH MID MORNING ON FRIDAY. THE WINDS
WILL DECREASE BY NOON ON FRIDAY.

* WINDS...WEST WINDS OF 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 80 MPH CAN
BE EXPECTED...ESPECIALLY OVER WIND PRONE AREAS AND EXPOSED EAST
SLOPES. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE OVER NORTHERN JEFFERSON AND
WESTERN BOULDER COUNTIES.

* IMPACTS...PEOPLE PLANNING TRAVEL SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR STRONG
CROSS WINDS CAUSING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. DRIVERS OF
LIGHT WEIGHT OR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD CONSIDER DELAYING
TRAVEL OR USE ALTERNATE ROUTES. IF YOU ARE DRIVING ON THE
ROADWAYS SLOW DOWN AND REMAIN ALERT FOR SUDDEN AND STRONG WIND
GUSTS.
