Fire near the Historic Platte River (Lower North Fork Fire)

Over 100 firefighters from multiple counties and agencies are fighting the fire.

3 reverse 911 calls have informed over 900 homes of mandatory evacuations

Per jeffcosheriff:

Residents living south of highway 285 in the area of the Lower North Fork Fire are being asked to be prepared to evacuate.

Lower North Fork Fire is currently burning in a NE direction toward the following subdivisions: Maxwell Hill, Samson, Kuehster, Critchell

Subdivisions that have been evacuated include: Silver Ranch Estates, Oehlman Park, Conifer Meadows N. of Foxton Road. (not an exhaustive list)

Firefighters are focusing on a defensive strategy to include structure protection as a primary objective.

North side of foxton residents are not allowed into their homes. South side are still allowed to enter.

Major road closures: Foxton Road is closed from Highway 285 to River Road.

Pleasant Park Road is closed from Highway 285 to Deer Creek Canyon.
