Fire near the Historic Platte River (Lower North Fork Fire)

A controlled burn now out of control is up to 5 acres. Authorities asking for crews from North Fork. Fire is near the Historic Platte River Hotel 6 mi east of Foxton.

(Single Engine Air Tanker) has been ordered but due to winds may not be able to fly.

No evacuations at this time, per Jacki Kelley, Jeffco PIO.

Buffalo Creek Rd is also closed at S Platte river.
