Great pics!

Fire has received good rain, containment line is being checked now. Some hot spots will remain, these are not a major concern, and will be monitored throughout the night.

Can't believe the luck of being there at the right time.
Sad that the whole hillside went up.

Dakota Ridge wildfire nearly contained; 74 acres burned

MORRISON, Colo. - A wildfire that burned 74 acres on the 'hog back' southeast of Morrison was 90 percent contained Tuesday. The cause was still under investigation.

The 'Dakota Ridge Fire' was first reported just after 2 p.m. on the shoulder of eastbound C470 at Morrison Road. Windy weather conditions helped It race uphill, burning dry grass and trees from the bottom to the top of the ridge.
