Jeffo sheriff spotting on Eagle Vista Drive... smoke plume, north face of Strontia Springs, at 119 degrees on the compass from his spotting position.

No flames yet... but smoke plume increasing at least 3 times since sheriff first started spotting about 40 minutes ago.

Ok... according to that link above (Strontia Springs) "Crews are responding to a reported 1/2 acre vegetation fire East of Strontia Springs Reservoir"

Location is EAST of the Springs, not north as I heard reported above.

In regards to the Little Scraggy Trailhead fire... it was 2/10 miles down the trail... campfire... less then 1/20 acre.. called "CT Fire"... USFS was on it... contained and out.

I will continue to monitor Strontia Springs on this thread.

Denver Water has been asked to assist Douglas Country. They are requesting Waterton Canyon Trailhead to be closed.
