Probable lightning strike. Elk Creek Fire first on scene, followed by US Forest Service and Lower North Fork Fire. Lower North Fork assumed command. Fire fully contained by cooperative effort of Elk Creek, US Forest Service and Lower North Fork Fire personnel, under Lower North Fork command.

I missed this one. I was down in Pueblo getting pelted by micro-bursts, hail and rain on 25. Had to get onto shoulder for about 1/2 hour. I assume the plains east of Pueblo are having a bit of excitement.

Anyway... I heard about this when I got to Castle Rock (North Fork radio comes in better down there then it does up here).

Good job folks.

Mr. Davis, I am surprised that you are not aware there is no Lower North Fork fire department, it is North Fork Volunteer Fire Department, and the fire is in their jurisdiction.

Also involved in the fire response were Indian Hills Fire Rescue and Inter-Canyon Fire/Rescue.

Fire is now controlled.
