COMMUNITY MEETING - June 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Community Center (Fairgrounds), 880 Bogue Street, Fairplay. Representatives of the U.S. Forest Service, Park County Office of Emergency Management and Sheriff's Office will be available to provide an update and answer questions.

Mandatory evacuation have been issued to residents in the immediate vicinity of the Weston Pass Fire south of County Rd 22. Evacuations for Black Mountain, Cora and Thousands Peak subdivisions are voluntary at this time but residents should be prepared for a full evacuation. Residents are encouraged to remove livestock and pets out of the area and to prepare to evacuate. Evacuations are voluntary, but residents are encouraged to leave if concerned.
US Hwy 285 is closed between Hwy 9 and Hwy 24 at Antero Junction. Residents with proof of residency may have access to County Rd 22, 18, and 24.
The Fairplay Community Center shelter and Fairgrounds are open Saturday, 6/30/18. No additional updates at this time
There was a large turn out for the community meeting held today at 2pm in Fairplay. Among the members who spoke was USFS PIO Vicky Russo. There will be an official fire information page called Weston Pass Fire starting Sunday morning. Please go to that page for a official fire information.
