Large grass fire is burning off Morrison Road near Fox Hollow Golf course and Bear Creek Lake Park. Morrison Road is shut down in both direction in the area. Please stay clear of the area and if you are in the park or golf course please evacuate immediately

Morrison is closed between C-470 and Kipling. Confirming golf course is evacuated, there’s a half mile line of fire into the golf course.

Requesting additional mutual aid of strike team of Brush 6 units.

Please avoid the area, the wind is gusting and moving the fire quickly.

Evacuating homes on the south side of the golf course.

Highly erratic fire behavior on the west side. It’s not growing that direction but 30-40’ flame lengths.

Fire is moving to the east along Morrison Road. Evacuation center has been set up at Bear Creek High School. Structure protection is in place, however, no structures are immediately threatened.

The neighborhood east of the fire from Owens Lane to Kipling is now being evacuated. Evacuation center is Bear Creek High School. Several agencies are assisting. Fire continues to be driven by the wind mostly toward the east.

Fire has reached the golf course drainage with cottonwood trees, resources attempting to stop it quickly.
