#MarshallFire: Major fire burning in Boulder County

Boulder OEM is getting many calls about residents seeing fire. IF YOU SEE FIRE, EVACUATE. Go east, go north, but leave immediately.

The Boulder Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been activated to respond to multiple wildland fires in Boulder County.

The Boulder Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been activated to respond to multiple wildland fires in Boulder County.

The first fire is north of the City of Boulder. The closest intersection is North Foothills Highway and Middle Fork Road. The name of this fire is the Middle Fork Fire.

The second fire is south of the City of Boulder. The closest intersection is South Cherryvale Road and Marshall Drive. The name of this fire is the Marshall Fire.

Please avoid these areas. As soon as additional information is available updates will be made available. Please follow  Twitter and  Facebook for up-to-date information about the #MiddleForkFire and #MarshallFire.


US 36 is closed.
McCaslin into Superior is closed
Superior and Mohawk residents evacuated. Evacuating east of McCaslin Blvd.
Multiple structures on fire.
Winds are gusting at 90mph, fire crews are pulling back as they cannot attack from the front of the wind-driven flames. Dispatch telling crews to not fight if they do not have good visual but let it burn through and attack from behind.
Regional resources incoming from Arvada and Thornton.

Fire is crossing McCaslin to the east.

Boulder OEM:
An evacuation site has been set up for Marshall and Middle Fork fires at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 6739 South Boulder Road, Boulder, CO 80303.

Large animal evacuation site is open at Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont. Please enter through Humane Society entrance on Nelson Road so as to not conflict with COVID testing.

Boulder County Office of Emergency Management has just announced an Evacuation Order for ALL of Superior, Colorado residents. Evacuation point is the South Boulder Recreation Center. The Superior Community Center is not an official evacuation location.

Fire has jumped McCaslin Blvd, people are trapped by flames between Main Street and Rock Creek in Superior.

Confirming emergency notification for evacuation sent for Rock Creek area.

Video by nataliewarady @N4ttybyn4ture of being evacuated from Costco.

Fire started at Hwy 93 and 170.

Requesting XCel Energy turn power off for entire area affected by fire to reduce risk to first responders.

Fire is starting to run to the north, will immediately impact homes.

Louisville units prioritizing evacuation. Reports of fire burning through a golf course vegetation and into backed up traffic.

New evacuation site open: YMCA of Northern Colorado (2800 Dagny Way, Lafayette)

Boulder County Sheriff and Fire feed on Broadcastify

The Louisville Kindercare is where parties were trapped earlier, first responders assisted with their evacuation. Louisville PD evacuated earlier. Just to the east of there, the entire street of Mulberry is reportedly on fire.
