The following information update has been made for: Reservoir Road Fire

There is a very large fire burning west of Loveland and northwest of Flatiron Reservoir called the Reservoir Road Fire. It is currently at least 600 acres and growing. Multiple evacuations have taken place and the destination for those removed from the fire area is the Church of Loveland, 3835 SW 14th in Loveland. Overflow facilities have been identified in case of need. The Humane Society of Larimer County is assisting with animal issues.
We have evacuated people far beyond the fire perimeter as a precaution and will not let anyone back into the area until it is determined to be safe for all. There is no word on either % contained or any estimates as to when we will have any control over parts of the fire. You may call Larimer County's info line for updates at 498-5500 or tune into the Loveland radio information channel at 1610 AM. Loveland is also putting out information on cityofloveland.org and their information line is 962-2020.
Apologies for the tardiness of this report and it's incompleteness. It is putting up a very impressive smoke column and we know thousands of people are concerned. We have been fortunate in having been the recipient of several heavy air tankers and heavy water dropping helicopters which were released from the Four Mile Canyon fire in Boulder. That has helped enormously in keeping this fire as small as it is. Dry conditions and wind have been a problem. We will hope for calmer conditions this evening. If there is any addition specific information we will update this page and the 498-5500 information line.
