Sheriff Shrader just spoke and he implored the Commissioners that salary compensation (raises) for JCSO employees had to be a priority or they faced the risk of losing many to better paying jobs elsewhere. He also dropped what seems to be a bomb in that this budget deficit isn't the end of it - the county is facing an additional $12-20 million dollars that will need to be cut in 2021 on top of the $16.1M for 2020.

Oy.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
