It's funny that one of the biggest issues the GOP had with Obama's health care bill was that it would "cut" $500 billion from Medicare and hurt seniors. Well guess what, the Ryan plan has that same "cut", and now the GOP loves it! They were against it before they were for it.
My suggestion for the GOP would be to scrap the Ryan plan and push for the plan that Obama's own debt reduction commission came up with, which Obama ignores. Yes, it has some tax increases that the Republicans don't like, but at least it was a bipartisian plan. And it would make the Democrats look pretty foolish if they were to campaign against the plan suggested by Obama's own commission.
