Deposition reveals Trump misstatements

Eliot Spitzer and CNN Sr. Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin look at discrepancies by possible GOP pres. candidate Donald Trump in a deposition for a libel case.

TRUMP: I have 2 1/2 miles on the ocean which is more than any other course. Every hole either is on the ocean or faces the ocean, and it's great. And in addition to that, I'm building 75 great mansions over the top of the golf course. So it's a very exciting project.

SPITZER: Earlier today, we called the sales office at the Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles. How many of those 75 mansions have been built? Five years later, six. And no more are under construction. And how many have been sold? Three.

But here's the thing, in 2003, Trump valued the property at $30 million. In 2005, he valued it at $360 million. Why? Because of the 75 mansions, but only six of them are there.

So that discrepancy in valuation, Jeff, that's a big number, and arguably a big problem.

BTW, the old guard Republicans, like Rove, hate the idea of a Trump presidency. First of all, he is his own man, he used to support the single payer system, and he wouldn't be in their pockets like "W" was.

Personally I haven't made up my mind about the Donald. I am guessing he won't even run. He would lose too much air time.

Or imagine if we elected a community organizer! Someone with little to NO executive experience. Someone who has never had to really balance a large budget. Insane don't you think?

If only my liberal friends and the media applied the same level of scrutiny and standards to the current President that they did to previous Presidents or ANY other conservative candidate. It would be a dream come true don't you think? :VeryScared:

rofllol Great point. If the election was held today, I would vote for Trump over Barack. Trump still has more executive experience, has more experience hiring the right people and knows what makes an economy run. Obama only knows to throw money at a problem, and the US doesn't have any more to throw.

What Oil Fields have we taken by force? If that were true, I think we would have seen the price a little differently at the gas pump back when you think we did that. You forgot the old argument about Lying about WMDs!!
