As Phyllis Schlafly points out in her book "Feminist Fantasies" (with a stirring foreword by Ann Coulter), for centuries, famous left-wing men have treated "their wives and mistresses like unpaid servants."
Their credo might well have been, "From each, according to my needs ..."
Schlafly bases her review of liberal woman-haters on the book "Intellectuals" by historian Paul Johnson. Among the left-wing heroes highlighted by Schlafly from Johnson's book are Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Ernest Hemingway, Henrik Ibsen, Bertrand Russell, Jean-Paul Sartre and Karl Marx.

" ...no wonder liberal women think men are pigs: Their men are pigs."
Great read trouble, I have a good friend who reminds me of you and she can't be in the same room with a liberal man (unless he's silent)...no wonder I like you!
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Ahhh...busted! Was it that obvious?? Liberal men make me crazzzeee...but I sure do those conservative Pro-Life guys!
And since liberal, progressive men support abortion which is an indicator of their lack of respect for human life, doesn't it make sense that they have no respect for women? Seems to me the left is suffering from serial moral bankruptcy.
My son in law is an avowed liberal and he is as kind and gentle a Christian soul as I have ever met. By the same token I have met many conservative men that are absolute pigs. I have not found politics to be an indicator of virtue. There are good people of every stripe. Sadly there are also jerks.
I think the problem lies with people who would make such stupid generalizations as to say that any "group" of men are pigs. Trust me, some (and not many from the ones I've met) are pigs regardless of their race, religious outlook or political beliefs. I hate it when people label others as if they have the right or the personal knowledge to do that. I happen to love men and I could care-a-less what their political belief is. One aspect of a human being does not sum up the entire person. I am fortunate to get along with almost everyone regardless of their strong beliefs in different areas. I believe that is because I am a NON-JUDGEMENTAL, compassionate, tolerant, and caring human being. Just the title of this thread makes me sick that people can not only think like this, but be so rigid in their own beliefs as to actually post nonsense like this. It sure is a good thing that no Republican men have ever had affairs or gotten themselves in hot water for their actions and indiscretions. Not! How in the world can someone hate like this is beyond me. I'm VERY glad that I'm not you.
Original comment: And anyone who quotes Ann Coulter is not too bright in my book.
Edited to read: Personally I don't think much of Ann Coulter at all. Those that idolize her I don't understand. Period.
