Doomsday "prophet" Harold Camping, founder of the Family Radio Network, is under fire today for his big, hilariously false prediction that today, May 21 would be the end of the world. Some people are annoyed, while others are chuckling about the prophecy. But a handful are outraged, and I don't blame 'em. They realize some innocent people were taken for a ride by a man who is now $80 million dollars richer, thanks to his apocalypse message.
I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for those who gave him money.....even if they thought the world WAS coming to an end....a little logic would tell them that he wouldn't need that money, they would be better off giving it to some sinful friend who had no chance of being raptured.....I'm sure there are many who would have taken it!
Of course, they won't admit that it's garbage and b.s.... They'll just lay low for awhile, claim a "math error", pick a new date, and con the gullible into ponying up more millions as they wait for the next non-event. Since he pulled it back in 1994 and was wrong then too, you have to wonder how many times the stupid fall for the same ruse...
