WYNE IN THE PYNES

"Wyne In The Pynes" is this year's version of the 11th annual Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce wine tasting event. This Spring CACC is shaking things up a bit, spicing up the party and moving it outdoors on the beautiful patio of Up The Mountain Steakhouse at the Safeway Center. The event will take place on the beautiful, sunny afternoon of June 26th from 4 to 7 PM. Chef Layne Brayley, the General Manager and Head Chef at UTM, will be preparing a wonderful assortment of appetizers to accompany the selection of more than 100 types of California wines personally selected by Jon Guelzow, owner of Biggie Wine and Liquors, one of the main sponsors of "Wyne In The Pynes," along with UTM and Eye Consultants of Colorado. Chef Layne will also offer a buffet for those of us who would like to linger after the event and dine in the restaurant’s stunning dining room. Marcel Flukiger of Aspen Creek Winery will also have a selection of his wines, among will be his famous "Conifer Red." While legal restrictions prevent the sale of bottles of wine at this event, these wines are all available locally at Biggie and by the bottle at Up The Mountain. Marcel's wines are available at the dining room of his B&B in Conifer. The bar at Up The Mountain will be open for those wishing to buy adult beverages other than wine. As a special feature of this year’s event, there will be an outdoor cigar room featuring our “Cigar Girl,” Meagan Stinson. Background music for the event will be provided by Steve Fordham and Billy Byrd, both well known local musicians. Per our custom, CACC will have a silent auction of awesome items as will as a lively live auction of exciting trips as well as a spectacular wine pairing Chef's dinner for four at Up The Mountain. Space restrictions allow for only 180 guests so tickets ($25.00 per individual, $45.00 per couple) are being snapped up. Reserve your tickets NOW by calling Dawn Smith at the Chamber office, 303-838-5711 or Stan Foxx at 720-635-9310.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

No, I don't drink. Being diabetic I can't. I haven't had a drink in 46 years now. Just posted it as a community service.
