TAMPA — Here's another option now that the kids are out of school: a weeklong seminar about our nation's founding principles, courtesy of the Tampa 912 Project.
This looks like it is slanted. I doubt this is part of the summer camp. "I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable."
Indoctrination is the process of inculcating ideas, attitudes, cognitive strategies or a professional methodology (see doctrine).[1] It is often distinguished from education by the fact that the indoctrinated person is expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned.[2] As such it is used pejoratively, often in the context of political opinions, theology or religious dogma. Instruction in the basic principles of science, in particular, can not properly be called indoctrination, in the sense that the fundamental principles of science call for critical self-evaluation and skeptical scrutiny of one's own ideas, a stance outside any doctrine.[3] In practice, however, a certain level of non-rational indoctrination, usually seen as miseducative, is invariably present.[4] The term is closely linked to socialization; in common discourse, indoctrination is often associated with negative connotations, while socialization refers to cultural or educational learning.
Like beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder, I think.
IMO, 'education' of all kinds should lean more toward exposing people to differing ideas, and rationally discussing their good and bad points, rather than trying to advance a particular point of view.
But, I'm a dreamer.

Yes, learning US history is horrible and outrageous. It would be much better for these kids to learn how they are killing the planet every time they exhale.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Yes... They should learn all about Lexington & Concord--New Hampshire; and Paul Revere and ringin' those bells and firing those shots--to warn the British; and about our allies, the North Koreans... And "we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States."
I think "History according to the WingNuts and anti-intellectuals" is a noble effort... Of course, when they grow up, it will all have to be refudiated....

Dang, I did not think anyone could figure it out but you have pegged it to a tee. The nazis, angry white males, veterans and extremist Christians MUST BE STOPED.
You need to find the biggest megaphone possible and shout it as loud and often as you can.
Thanks.
