But Wayne honors accuracy, truth and fairness in journalism. Too bad his sources don't know the meaning of any of those things. Real clear politics, you betcha! rofllol
Well Wayne, I guess this thread didn't exactly tuirn out like you planned huh? That fine line between tabloid journalism seems to be getting erased with every passing year. Real journalism died a long time ago and all that's left are partisan hacks barely fit to work for the Enquirer. What a joke.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Yeah according to this thread, the left thinks that anyone who takes time off of work to do their patriotic duty and serve on jury duty are a bunch of quitters. Interesting to take a peek inside how the liberal mind thinks. Scary but interesting.
Good Point, I find it an HONOR to get called for Jury Duty, and yet I hear ALOT of folks, doing everything they can do to GET out of doing Jury Duty. WHY? Lazy a-holes, (both sides). Can't do jury duty I have a tee time, well screw those folks with that attitude!
Please show me where anyone posted in this thread that taking time off work for jury duty is a quitter.
I was called for jury duty last week, as a matter of fact.
As Palin correctly pointed out, Fox News said she quit. She works for them. They should know.
Perhaps she got tired of the bus, went back to Alaska, got heat about it and dreamed up the jury duty excuse. Why would she be ashamed of mentioning it when she stopped the tour? It remains to be seen if the excuse she gave is the honest truth.
Yeah, where does it say someone who leaves for supposed "jury duty" is a quitter?
HEARTLESS wrote: Wayne, its in the title of the thread that you originated. Warm up properly before backstroking so hard, you could pull a muscle.
Sorry, I've re-read the title of the thread and the posts and I still don't see anything about jury duty mentioned until today. Can you point me to the post where it connects jury duty with quitting?
As stated several times, even Fox reported it and it was Fox that she corrected. Even in her correction she never mentioned jury duty. That excuse didn't come up until today (had to figure out something as a reason). Has anyone actually seen the summons? She's also using it as an excuse to cancel a trip to the Sudan. Usually, they call you for one day and let you know if you're going to have to serve any more. But she's already canceling stuff in advance.
Jury duty, that's it. What a great excuse. Never mind she didn't bother mentioning it until three days later. I'm still waiting for someone to show where anyone posted in this thread that taking time off work for jury duty is a quitter.
Meanwhile, in her hometown paper:
We can’t make these things up
On the morning of April 18, 2006, I sat in the Hotel Captain Cook coffee shop with Sarah Palin comparing campaign trail notes. Yes, there was a time when Palin and I could hold a civil conversation, long before she began calling me "dumbass" in her emails... but I digress.
While talking about the trials and tribulations of the trail, she offered up a personal thought that still rings in my ears.
"Andrew, I watch you at these debates with no notes, no papers and yet when asked questions you spout off facts, figures and policies and I'm amazed. But then I look out into the audience and I ask myself, does any of this really matter?"
Start thread with misleading and controversial title, don't acknowledge that you've been caught yet again, then attempt to backstroke on a technicality. Not buying it Wayne.
