The only reason that Democrats celebrate labor day is because it is the day that reminds them of all the labor others do to make sure they get thier handouts.

So only Democrats are on unemployment or medicare or social security or food stamps or.......

Right.

There are things in our nations past that should NOT be celebrated.....slavery for one....the McCarthy hearings....and I'm sure any liberal here could come up with many more. But not the Republicans. What I see and hear is that this nation was just perfect as it was created and should never have been changed.......well it has changed, times have changed, issued have been corrected.....this is the only way a nation can grow and prosper, by changing and adjusting to the times. NOT by sticking our collective heads in the sand and pretending that everything is OK as it is, or as it was.

True patriots want America to grow and be the best it can be.....true patriots want ALL American citizens to have equal opportunity at gaining the American dream.....true patriots value each and every citizen, not just those who think the same......true patriots value our diversity and don't try to make everyone think and act the same.....and true patriots can be of any party, and ethnicity, any sexual persuasion, and speak what ever language they want at home and with others who speak as they do.......

I am so sick of being told that liberals do not value America, it's history and most importantly it's future. That is a flat out lie......and those who would continue to tell that lie are not patriots at all in my book.

Democrats don't despise American History...We just know it better, and don't try to reinvent it to fit some nutjob narrative by the jingoistic twits like Palin, Bachmann, et al....

Yes, the elephants do leave a bigger mess behind for others to clean up.

lol Looks like the Dems need to do better re-branding and re-establish them as a party for patriots. First way to do this? Don't re-elect Barack, the President who toured the world on the US apology tour.

 The same President who admitted he didn't speak Austrian.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

I, for one, don't give a rat's patoot about trying to rebrand the Dems in an effort to play "more patriotic than you" with a bunch of jingoistic neo-cons who are still trying to find a way to twist history to make Half-Governor Moosemeat somehow right about Paul Revere's ride.
